Working from home presents a multitude of struggles. Struggles include but are not limited to:
• getting out of bed
• getting dress and/or showering
• not eating all the food in the fridge
• not turning on the tv
I find that listening to podcasts helps me focus on work by providing a kind of white noise and by keeping me from putting on Netflix and vegging out for 8-ish hours. But also, sometimes I learn things or feel more motivated, which is always good.
I’ve decided to split this into 2 (or 3 or 4…) parts, because I listen to that many podcasts, and this could go on awhile.
I want to be BFFs with Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson. As soon as they called Blue Apron “Blue Apes” in an ad, I was in love. No one can abbreve like these 2, and in addition to supes cute abbreves, you get some pretty sweet comedy.
The 2 ladies behind being boss are so smart and talented and do everything I wish I could do, so I listen to them when I need a kick in the pants. They also do “minisodes” that are like 5 or 15 minutes, so they’re easy to digest. Listening to them talk about paying taxes or protecting boundaries helps me get into the flow more quickly than usual.
I’ll admit it, I’m a tad bit obsessed with Rhett and Link. I watch their YouTube channel on the reg, but as much as I love their friendship and the silly things they do, sometimes, it’s a little too silly. Their podcast, on the other hand, gets a little more real, so you get the adorable bromance with a side of legit conversation.
